The Fall of Five and a Lot More!

It has been a looooooooong time since my last post (due to tons of school-related activities) so I'll compensate by creating this triple-treat blog. This has been my book exploits for the month of August and I hope you find this interesting.

First is the I Am Number Four: The Lost Files: The Secret Histories. This book from the I Am Number Four series was released on July 23, 2013. It is composed of three novellas ( The Search for Sam, The Last Days of Lorien, and The Forgotten Ones) which were released earlier as e-books. This certainly is a treat for fans like me who do not have the capacity to buy e-books and for those who are collecting the print volumes of the series. Plus, it contains the story behind their search for Sam! All the fans have been FRUSTRATED by that cliffhanger, including me!

Secondly, (well, this isn't such a big deal but I found it cool XD) let me present to you (drumroll)........ the Help Me Bookmarks!

 I actually have seen one of these before but I haven't seen one for sale. I found these bookmarks unique, and I just love unique things. Every box contains four bookmarks with four different colors: light blue, yellow, purple, and orange. When you use it, it looks like a colored hand is trying to escape from your book, hence the name (Help Me!)! Being sold by fours makes these ideal for mass gift-ing. XD I myself have tried giving them as gifts to seven of my bookworm friends last Christmas, and I left the light blue one for myself. They surely appreciated it. I just tied a ribbon and a mini Christmas card with a mini candy cane and voila! Seven small but valuable gifts for my friends! I've bought this box from Tickles, a novelty and random stuff shop at Metro Market Market. But these are also sold at Powerbooks. 

Lastly, the main event! Drumroll............ The Fall of Five! 

The Fall of Five

The Fall of Five was released last August 27, 2013. This is the fourth book of the I Am Number Four series. Fans of the series like me have been waiting our butts off after the totally unexpected and frustrating ending of the last book, The Rise of Nine. I am very lucky since the date of the book's release happens to fall on the dates of the National Book Store Annual Cut-Price sale! I was able to buy mine at 10% off. I remember that National Book Store had a sale, too, during the release of the previous book, The Rise of Nine. I was also able to buy it on sale, too! This book is important to me since it is one of the major book series I have been following and I have been waiting for the next book every year. One year's wait is finally over! Next of the books I am waiting to be released is the House of Hades, which will be released this October. 

By the way, the National Book Store But-Price sale runs until September 8, so better go to the nearest branch right away if you want to buy a book so you'd be buying it at a lower price. :bd
